colors flow freely and
water cools the body
like an infant's first steps
I cherish a fool's refuge

through poorly painted frames
duck-taped fenestrations
and the queer refraction of Old German glass
space lies in its entirety
enclosure creates context
the prospect that enthuses the scientist
arouses the poet
